It acts as a seal gasket between sheet metal swell as cushion against vibration & shock, deaden sound, and is easily compressed & conformed.

Used as HVAC equipment panels, fiber free insulation alternative, metal to metal seals, gaskets/gap filler and wrapping chilled water lines.
